ROME — The New York State Technology Enterprise Corp., located in the Griffiss Business and Technology Park, recently presented the Project Fibonacci Foundation with a $10,000 Gold Sponsorship check in support of the foundation’s upcoming STEAM Leadership Conference scheduled for July 23-29.

The check was presented to foundation chairman Andrew Drozd by NYSTEC’s Jasminka Husic, chief financial officer, and Nick Alger, managing director of operations.

Both Husic and Alger expressed their appreciation of the foundation’s efforts to restart the STEAM conference after the extended pause due to the pandemic.

“NYSTEC’s support is exemplary of community partnership and synergy that will help us realize our broader vision of growing the local STEM workforce and adding to positive community momentum,” said Drozd.

To date, the foundation has raised more than $125,000 thanks to the contributions by NYSTEC and other local organizations, including a number of private donors.

NYSTEC’s sponsorship will be used in part to underwrite scholarships for the cohort of students attending this year’s conference.

For more information on tax-deductible contributions, contact the Project Fibonacci Foundation at info@projectfibonacci.org or call 315-335-1238.
